Early Registration Has Advantages
(March 29, 2011) WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Dayton, Ohio – Anyone
registering for the Air Force Marathon before April 30 will be
automatically entered to win an All Access Prize Package.
"We did this contest last year in July and it was a huge hit, but this year
the races are filling up so fast that we didn't dare wait until then," said
Molly Louden, Air Force Marathon Director.
Currently, the half and full marathons are at 50 percent of capacity. "We
are well ahead of last year's pace and we sold out a month early then. We
are advising everyone to register now rather than miss out," Ms. Louden
said.
The 15th annual race, which takes place on September 17, 2011, includes a
full marathon (26.2 miles), a half marathon (13.1 miles) and a 10K race
(6.2 miles). A 5K race (3.1 miles), hosted by Wright State University,
will take place on Friday evening, September 16.

Everyone who has registered for any of the races by April 30 will
automatically be entered into the drawing. No purchase is necessary to

by April 30, 2011. Winners will be notified by phone or email by May 15st.
A complete list of winners will appear in our June newsletter. Winners may
pick up their prizes during packet pickup at the Sports and Fitness Expo at
The Nutter Center, Sept. 15-16, 2011. Prizes are valid Sept. 16-17, 2011
only. No substitutions.
All marathon events are open to the public and the race is a Boston
