In this new position, Chaney uses his leadership skills, vast experience in

securing permits, managing the road closing schedule, start line and finish
line set-up and logistics. He is also responsible for outreach, training
programs, website management, social media communications and the gear bag
program.
A well-respected figure in the running community, Chaney began his love for
competitive running while attending Copley High School, where he
established the school record in the 800-meter run, which he held for 22
years. He later became head coach of the school's cross country team.
Chaney is a graduate of Ohio University. His work history includes
positions in human resources and payroll industries with clients including
Fortune 500 companies.
Chaney is the founder of Chaney Event Management, a full-service race
