LINCOLN, RI – April 25, 2011 – Amica Insurance is proud to announce that it
will be the title sponsor of both the Amica Marathon in Newport, RI, and
the Amica Insurance Seattle Marathon in Seattle, WA, for the next five
years.
"Amica is thrilled to announce its new five-year partnerships with these
two races, especially given the success of the past events," said Julie
Montalbano, sponsorship supervisor at Amica Insurance. "These partnerships
will help ensure continued success of the marathons, while supporting the
marathon community by providing an outstanding assortment of events for
race enthusiasts of all ages."
Amica has sponsored the Amica Marathon, formerly known as the Breakers

Marathon in 2009. This year's weekend-long event will be held Oct. 15 and
16 and will feature the Amica Marathon, a half marathon and a 5K race.
Nearly 5,000 people participated in the 2010 event and even more are
expected this year.
"Eident Sports is pleased to extend our partnership with Amica Insurance
through 2016," said Brewer Rowe, executive vice president of Eident Sports
Marketing, organizer of the Amica Marathon. "With Amica's vision and
support of the running community, the Amica Marathon has become the fastest
growing race in New England in the last couple of years and we look forward
to continued growth and success."
The Amica Insurance Seattle Marathon, which takes place each year over
Thanksgiving weekend, has become a tradition in the city of Seattle.
Nearly 17,000 people participated in the marathon series of events last
year, which marked the 40th birthday of the Seattle Marathon Association.
Amica has also sponsored this event for the past four years
This year's Amica Insurance Seattle Marathon, Marathon Walk, Half Marathon
and Half Marathon Walk will take place Nov. 27. All events will start and
end at the historic Seattle Center downtown and will traverse the streets
of the Emerald City, affording sweeping vistas of this important seaport
town.
"It's a privilege to have Amica Insurance back with us for another five
years," said Seattle Marathon Association Board President John Kokes.
"Amica understands the importance of customer service and treating people
with respect. These are values the Seattle Marathon Association has
