                      Everyone's A Winner in the 
          2013 Cyprus Marathon, Half Marathon & 10 km Road Race

The 15th annual Cyprus Marathon, Half Marathon & 10 km Road Race will take 
place on Sunday 10th March 2013 in Pafos. Hundreds of runners will be 
hitting the streets of Pafos for the annual running of the Cyprus Marathon. 
Pafos, the 'European Capital of Culture 2017', is a fascinating and 
friendly city and is located in the west coast of Pafos. More than 250 
runners have already registered in the event with most of them coming from 
European countries to run the oldest and best city marathon in all of 
Cyprus! 

The Cyprus Marathon is a unique and an extremely popular event that hosts 
every year over 500 runners and many hundreds of cheering spectators. It is 
an opportunity for all runners to run under Cyprus winter sun and have fun! 
All participants will receive a souvenir T-shirt and a finisher's medal. 
Trophies will be awarded in 50 different age group categories. The 
entertainment activity programme will include a dancing group who will 
perform both Greek / Cypriot folk dance and invite runners and spectators 
to join in. A warm-up session will be performed before the start of the 
Half Marathon & 10 km at the Paphos Mediaeval Fort square. 

The Organiser's Office (Marathon Expo) of the Cyprus Marathon will be at 
the 'En Plo' Pafos Municipality Exhibition Hall nearby the Pafos Mediaeval 
Fort. The Marathon (http://www.cyprusmarathon.com/course.htm) will start at 
7:30 a.m. from Petra tou Romiou (Birthplace of Aphrodite goddess of love 
and beauty) and finish at the Pafos Mediaeval Fort Square. The Half 
Marathon and 10 km Road Race will both start (start time 8:30 a.m.) and 
finish at the Pafos Mediaeval Fort Square nearby the Pafos fishing harbour.

The international running event is generously sponsored from Cyprus Tourism 
Organisation), PrimeTel, deVere Group (Cyprus), Castrol Cyprus, Aloe Hotel, 
Pafos Municipality, FOTOKINISI and  Russian Wave 105.6 FM.

A lot of runners every year do not miss the opportunity to experience the
