FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
GRAND TETON RACES OFFER DISCOUNT TO WESTERN STATES RUNNERS
June 26, 2008 - Alta, Wyoming
Due to wildfires that have struck northern California in recent days and
the health risks that have been associated with these wildfires, the 35th
Western States Endurance Run has been cancelled. It is unfortunate that so
many athletes will not be able to realize their goal and that the hard work
and dedication of the race organizers have been sidelined by these
conditions.
Due to these circumstances, race officials for the Grand Teton Races have
decided to offer a discount from now until July 31 (or earlier, if the
maximum number is met) to those who cannot participate in Western States
this year: a $65 discount to the first 30 people who register for the
Grand Teton Races 100 Mile Race and a $15 discount to the first 20 people
who register for the Grand Teton Races 50 Mile Race.
Interested parties can apply for this discount by e-mailing Race Director
Jay Batchen at Jay will respond to all inquiries
on or after Sunday, June 29th. His response will provide you with complete
instructions for registering online with the appropriate discount code.
