Press Release - Lake City Marathon - 4/20/10

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

        The Lake City Marathon Registration is Now Open; 
       The Early Registration Rate of $40 Ends April 30th.

Winona Lake, IN: Registration for the seventh running of the Lake 
City Marathon in Northern Indiana is open. The registration for the
marathon on September 11th includes a prerace dinner and post race meal. We 
are offering a $30 discount through April 30th for all runners that
register is April. Entry fees increase monthly reaching $100 in September.
The Lake City Marathon course has been certified by USA Track & Field and
is a qualifying race for the Boston Marathon. We usually have close to 30
percent of our field that comes on a quest to qualify for Boston. The
course features an island loop, a lakeside loop, a paved bicycle trail, and
2 residential loops. The Lake City Ultra/50K is run concurrently with the
marathon. Race proceeds benefit several local nonprofit groups that will be
helping at the aid stations.
