Landmark Sport Group Announces Race Director
Continuing its commitment to leadership in mass participation running
events, Landmark Sport Group Inc. announces the appointment of Alison
Turcotte as Race Director of the Mississauga Marathon, Twenty Valley
Niagara Wine Country Run and Labour Day Oakville Half Marathon.
Alison comes to Landmark after 6 years with Golf Canada (RCGA) as Manager
of Rules and Competitions. In this role she organized over 20 National
Championships each year and coordinated over 200 volunteers at each
tournament. Alison was also Tournament Director for international events
including Copa de las Americas and Four Nations Cup. She is an avid runner
and completed her first half marathon this past spring.
"I am thrilled to join such an established company in the sports industry,"
says Alison. "Being a part of the Landmark team is a tremendous
professional opportunity for me and I am excited to take on the role of
Race Director to continue the successful development of the Landmark
races."

Alison begins her Race Director role with the up coming Labour Day Oakville
Half Marathon, 10K and 2K event September 6, 2010.
About the Labour Day Oakville Half Marathon
The 4th annual Labour Day Half will be held September 6th 2010 on the
streets of downtown and Old Oakville. The race will feature a Half
Marathon, 10K and 2K Family Fun Run/Walk that highlights the town's
beautiful waterfront, quaint neighborhoods and spectacular harbours. In
addition, participants and the general public are invited to enjoy a
Runners Expo and the finish line celebration, featuring an awards ceremony
and great entertainment as part of the Holiday festivities all being
conducted in Coronation Park on the shores of Lake Ontario. The event
strives to generate significant charitable donations for its charity
partners; the Oakville Hospital Foundation, Oakville YMCA and the
