              REGISTRATION FEES GO UP MIDNIGHT JANUARY 15

LITTLE ROCK, AR (January 12, 2009) - Athletes have until midnight Thursday, 
January 15 to take advantage of the registration discounts for the seventh 
annual Little Rock Marathon (and companion races), presented by the 
Arkansas Democrat Gazette, slated for Sunday, March 15, 2009. 

The Little Rock Marathon is a project of and benefits Little Rock Parks & 
Recreation. 

Discounted race registration fees for all races will end January 15. Online 
registrations must be completed by midnight, January 15 and mailed 
registrations must be postmarked by January 15 to take advantage of the 
discounted prices. 

Registration fees are discounted online.  Online registration fees before 
midnight January 15 are as follows: 

$70 for the marathon 
$60 for the half marathon 
$42.50 (per person) for the relay marathon 
$30 for the 5K fun run 
$30 for Classic Rockers Final Mile 
$20 for the Little Rockers Kids Marathon. 

Mailed registrations are approximately $10 more than online registration 
fees. 

Online registration fees after midnight are as follows:

$80 for the marathon 
$70 for the half marathon 
$47.50 (per person) for the relay marathon 
$35 for the 5K fun run 
$35 for Classic Rockers Final Mile 
$25 for the Little Rockers Kids Marathon 

Mailed registrations are approximately $10 more than online registration. 

On March 2, 2009, online and mail in registration will close temporarily so 
volunteers can prepare for race weekend. Mailed registrations must be 
postmarked by March 2, 2009. Registrations postmarked after March 2, 2009 
will be held until registration resumes at the health & fitness expo on 
March 13-14 at the Statehouse Convention Center in downtown Little Rock. 
Registration fees will be higher at the expo. 

Race organizers anticipate more than 9,000 participants on race day.
