LITTLE ROCK MARATHON HEALTH & FITNESS EXPO OPENS FRIDAY
RACE OFFICIALS ANTICIPATE FILLING THE REMAINING OPENINGS
LITTLE ROCK, AR (March 3, 2010) -- Late registration for the eight annual
Little Rock Marathon, presented by the Arkansas Democrat Gazette, will get
underway at Noon on Friday, March 5 during the Little Rock Marathon Health
& Fitness Expo in the Statehouse Convention Center, Hall II.
Show hours are:
Friday, March 5 - Noon to 7 pm
Saturday, March 6 - 10 am to 6 pm
Race officials anticipate a field of 10,000 participants and plan filling
the remaining entries during the first day of the Health & Fitness Expo.
Registration fees and open registrations for this weekend are as follows:

The Little Rock Marathon Health & Fitness Expo is free and open to the
public. More than 75 exhibitors from around the country will be showcasing
the latest running/fitness gear; health and nutrition products, and much
more. Race participants are also required to pick up their race packet at
the Health & Fitness Expo.
Race day is Sunday, March 7. In addition to the marathon (26.2 miles),
there is a half marathon (13.1 miles) race, presented by Baptist Health; a
4-person relay marathon (26.2 miles divided into four segments) and the
Classic Rockers Final Mile (for individuals 55+ who completed at least 25.2
miles prior to race day).
The Little Rock 5K Fun Run/Walk, presented by Windstream Communications, is
Saturday, March 6 at 8 am. The Little Rockers Kids Marathon (26.2 miles
completed over an extended time frame), presented by Arkansas Children's
Hospital and Today's THV, for children 7 to 12 is Saturday, March 6 at
noon. All races start at the River Market and finish at Riverfront Park in
the River Market District.
Participants in all events can run, walk or do a combination of running and
walking in any of the events.
The Little Rock Marathon is a project of and benefits Little Rock Parks &
