PORSCHE CENTRE CHESTER - FRONT RUNNERS IN NEW RUNLIVERPOOL MARATHON
Organisers of the new RunLiverpool Marathon which takes place in the
Liverpool City Region this coming October, have announced that Porsche
Centre Chester will be the official vehicle partner of the 26.2 mile road
race.
To announce the partnership a selection of Porsche models including the 911
Carrera and the Panamera were displayed at a photo call on Liverpool's
famous Pier Head; where the marathon finishing line is to be situated.
Speaking at the launch, Adrian Kermode, Managing Director of Porsche Centre
Chester commented;
"Porsche Centre Chester is delighted to be involved with and support an
international sporting event of this calibre - we look forward to working
with the Marathon team over the coming months, as strategic partners."
Porsche Centre Chester, previously known as Porsche Centre Liverpool, is
located at Cheshire Oaks, and has a long heritage in the city. Though the
Centre has now moved from Mann Island, it is still an active supporter of
Liverpool and events that take place in the city.
The Porsche Chester team has its own 'Marathon Man,' General Sales Manager,
Martin Bamping who has already entered to take part in the RunLiverpool
Marathon.
Martin, who has taken part in numerous long distance races, completed a
half Marathon in March and is looking forward to competing in the brand new
event, running in support of Dyslexia Action in Liverpool and Wilmslow:
"I'd already signed up for the RunLiverpool Marathon before we'd agreed to
support the event, so for Porsche Centre Chester to be involved as marathon
partner is very exciting. It's great to now have the opportunity to run
the streets of your own city. All of the team are 100% behind the marathon
and look forward to seeing it grow over the coming years."
Alan Rothwell, RunLiverpool Marathon Race Director, said:

the new RunLiverpool Marathon as it takes its place amongst the UK's top
long-distance running events, support from the Centre will help us to
deliver a high quality international running event in a world-class city."
Porsche Centre Chester will provide one of the latest models for the role
of official marathon lead vehicle, which will precede a field of over
12,000 regional, national and international participants on October 9.
Fitted with specialist time-keeping equipment, the car will also be branded
in the RunLiverpool Marathon livery.
