Marine Corps Marathon's Runner Tracking Services Deliver Results
Register Now To Follow MCM Runners On Facebook, Twitter, Email and Text
QUANTICO, VA (Oct. 7, 2013) - The Marine Corps Marathon is partnering with
Nissan to offer the latest in individual runner tracking services to both
MCM participants and spectators. The Runner Broadcast and Track a Runner
services enable runners and their supporters to obtain instant updates of a
runner's progress every 10K of the 26.2 mile marathon course from the
Arlington, VA start, through the nation's capital and all the way to the
exciting finish at the Marine Corps War Memorial. Both services are
available free of charge and are online at www.marinemarathon.com.
Through Runner Broadcast, MCM participants can serve as their own news
source positioning their progress on personal Facebook timelines or over a
Twitter feed. The Runner Broadcast Service is available to all MCM
participants.
Relatives, friends and supporters of MCM runners can register to Track a
Runner over every 10K, 20K, 30K and 40K split and all the way to the MCM
finish line. Each runner's timing data will continually appear via email or
text and also can be posted to personal Facebook timelines and over
Twitter.
Each of the individual split time updates is presented by Arlington,
Boeing, Nissan and Rosslyn. Aetna is sponsoring the MCM10K finish. The
MCM10K will be held in conjunction with the 38th MCM.
Whether running or supporting, everyone is encouraged to Tweet during the
MCM Weekend using #38thMCM.
