Mississauga Marathon Launches
Scotiabank Charity Challenge Fundraising Program
Mississauga, ON – In an effort to raise additional funds for its charity
partners, The Mississauga Marathon announced today a partnership with
Scotiabank to run the 2013 Mississauga Marathon Scotiabank Charity
Challenge. The new initiative allows participants to personalize their own
fundraising page with a fundraising goal, pictures and videos, send emails
to friends and family asking for their support, build a fundraising team
and track donations. Participants can also share their personalized
fundraising page with their social media websites such as Facebook,
Twitter, Pinterest, etc.

Challenge program as part of the 10th Anniversary Mississauga Marathon"
says Ben McCarty, Race Director for the Mississauga Marathon. "Each year,
the Marathon strives to give back to the community while supporting local
and national groups. With the support of Scotiabank and their program, we
are excited to see the growth and success of charitable giving through the
Mississauga Marathon and its supporters for many years to come."

The 10th Anniversary Mississauga Marathon will take place on Saturday, May
4th and Sunday, May 5th, 2013 and offers "A Run For Everyone": Marathon,
Petrillo Law Marathon Relay, Recharge with Milk Half Marathon, Valeant
Pharmaceuticals 10K, 10K Student Relay, Starbucks Coffee Hazel 5K and
SUBWAY® Restaurants 2K Fun Run/Walk. A Runner's Expo is also part of Race
Weekend, a mandatory stop for all participants to pick up their race kits
taking place on Friday, May 3rd and Saturday, May 4th, at the Port Credit
Memorial Arena, in downtown Port Credit.
