           Still Time to Get the Blues for a Great Price!

(Jackson, MS) – The regular registration price for the 2nd Annual 
Mississippi Blues Marathon and Half-Marathon will end on November 29, 2008. 
Registration fees of $80 for the marathon and $40 for the half-marathon 
will increase at that time to $90 for the marathon and $45 for the 
half-marathon.

This second installment of the Mississippi Blues Marathon and Half-Marathon 
will offer runners the chance to learn from marathon legend Bill Rodgers, 
win part of the $30,000 total prize money purse, and hear the very best in 
live Mississippi blues music.

Online registration is available through the site, and hardcopy 
applications may be downloaded and mailed in (deadline for hardcopy 
applications is December 13, 2008).

The courses for both the marathon and half-marathon have been officially 
certified with USA Track and Field. The marathon will start and finish in 
the historic Fondren district of Jackson, and encompass the downtown area, 
Flowood, and parts of north Jackson. At this time, 800 runners from 36 
states and four countries have registered for the event.
