The San Francisco Marathon Presented by WIPRO is Sold Out for July 31, 2011

The 34th running of The San Francisco Marathon® presented by Wipro is sold 
out to participants but invites spectators to join the fun and support the 
runners at the largest Northern California marathon.

San Francisco, Ca- July 28, 2011- The 34th running of The San Francisco 
Marathon presented by Wipro is sold out for Sunday, July 31, 2011.  Over 
25,000 runners are expected to compete  in the full, two-halfs or 5K/ 
progressive marathon. The Munchkin Fun Run still has spots available.

Known for its beautiful scenic views, TSFM presented by Wipro is the only 
race that runs in the roadbed of the Golden Gate Bridge. It's a loop course 
that starts at the Ferry Building runs along the Embarcadero, over the 
Bridge, along the coastline, through Golden Gate Park and the 
Haight-Ashbury District, past AT&T Park before finishing in front of 
Cupid's Arrow.

The Elite Runners will start the race at 5:30am followed by the remainder 
of the field with wave start times between 5:30-6:45am. The marathon 
runners will begin crossing the Bridge at about 6am with the last runner 
coming off by approximately 9am. TSFM presented by Wipro is the largest 
marathon in Northern California and one of the most popular in the US.

Come support your community, join in the fun and help cheer on the runners 
of the five marathon events. There will be over 20 cheer stations and 36 
bands, DJ's and diverse forms of entertainment along the course.  The San 
Francisco Boys Chorus, FpodBpod, Abada Capoeira, Space Cowboys' Unimog will 
be among those performing throughout the race and LoCura will be performing 
at the finish line. The Art Mile will be located between mile 24-25 on 
Terry Francois Blvd. so be on the lookout for San Francisco's best art 
cars, cheer groups, costumes, music and fun.  Please check
