Fitness Weekend to announce the details of the organization's newest
event, the CEO WELLNESS CAMPAIGN at a news conference held today at St.
Louis City Hall.
"The focus of the CEO WELLNESS CAMPAIGN is not to determine the fastest or
the fittest CEO in the metropolitan area, but rather for CEO's,
individually and collectively, to challenge the St. Louis community to get
fit and participate in the Family Fitness Weekend on April 14 & 15, 2007,"
Lieberman explained.
Several area leaders are participating including: Cindy Brinkley - AT&T;
Ralph Clermont - KPMG; Mike DeCola - Mississippi Lime Co; Steve Hurster -

"We are thrilled to launch the CEO WELLNESS CAMPAIGN as part of our efforts

for their employees to take action, create a healthier environment in the
work place and improve the quality of life for the community," said Tucci.
In addition, Governor Matt Blunt announced that he will be running the four
person Marathon Relay. The Governor also presented Lieberman and Tucci
with a proclamation recognizing the immense impact that the organization's
Read, Right & Run Marathon has on the development of children.
Nearly 3,000 students, representing 80 schools, participating in the Read,
Right & Run marathon are expected to cross the finish line on race day.
This accomplishment will equate to 78,000 books, 78,000 good deeds and
78,600 miles of exercise! The program has been named one of the largest
children's marathons in the country by Running USA and endorsed by the
USDA.
Each of the speakers applauded the Spirit of St. Louis Marathon & Family
Fitness Weekend for their year around efforts to challenge St. Louisans to
set attainable goals and get fit. "Fitness and a healthy lifestyle are
issues we cannot afford to ignore," said Mayor Francis G. Slay. The
successful future of our community depends on the overall wellness of the
people who live here."
Now in its seventh year, the Spirit of St. Louis Marathon & Family Fitness
