Twin Cities In Motion Awarded USA Men's and Women's
10 Mile Championships for 2011 and 2012
Minneapolis - (October 2, 2010) Twin Cities In Motion will host the USA
Men's and Women's 10 Mile Championship in 2011 and 2012 at the Medtronic TC
10 Mile, the organization announced.
"We have a rich history of hosting championships, dating all the way back
to the days of The Athletic Congress," said Virginia Brophy Achman,
Executive Director of Twin Cities In Motion. "Today, we support post
collegiate athletes in many ways and want to provide additional
opportunities for our professional athletes to compete and earn a living.
It is an honor to host the USA Men's and Women's 10 Mile Championships."
The long-time hosts of the USA Masters Marathon Championships will continue
in that role until at least 2015 and will host the USA Men's and Women's
Road Mile Championships at the Medtronic TC 1 Mile until 2012. The
Medtronic TC 10 Mile has played host to both the men's and women's USA
Championships in the past but never both in the same year.
With the 2012 Olympic Trials Marathon set to be hosted in Houston in
January 2012, the 10 mile race will provide athletes with a tune-up race as
they begin their preparations for the trials, while we are sure the 2012
edition will be a great opportunity to celebrate our athletes' success in
the fall after the Olympics.

and our athlete development initiatives has been a vital component to

Development program.
