TO RUN 2006 MEDTRONIC TWIN CITIES MARATHON

Deep Elite Field Slated for USATF Men's, Women's
                           and Masters Championships

(Minneapolis, MN) - America's top master Mbarak Hussein will return to the
Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon (MTCM) this year to defend his 2005 Twin
Cities Marathon title. Hussein will be joined by leading masters from
around the world, including runners Clyde VanCaeyzeele, Americans Paul
Aufdemberge and Russel Boore, and Minnesota natives John Mirth and Kirt
Goetzke. Last year's 2:18:28 finish in the Twin Cities gave Hussein the
2005 USA Marathon Champion title.

A tight race is expected in the men's open division where top seeded Simon
Sawe, first-place finisher in the Deseret Morning News/KJZZ TV Marathon in
Salt Lake City, Utah, in July, will compete against Kyle Baker, Jason
Lehmkuhle (Team USA Minnesota), Christopher Banks, Jacob Frey and
Minneapolis runner Chris Lundstrom, who finished 16th at Boston Marathon
this year.

Minnesota Native Turena Johnson Lane, 31, of Muncie, Indiana, will join
Heather Hanscom and Sara Wells in the women's open race. Johnson Lane
picked up her second career U.S. title in May, after finishing in 1:28:42
in the Women's USA 25 km Championships. The USA Running Circuit (USARC)
win follows her 2004 USA 20 km championship, and places her at the top of
the 2006 USARC Women's Standings.

Strong performances are expected from women's masters runners including Kim
Jones, Lisa Vaill, Meghan Arbogast and Mary Hanna.

Following is the MTCM seeding list as of Sept. 18, 2006 (this list will be
updated and distributed in full at the Athlete News Conference, Friday,
September 29 at 4:00 p.m. in the Capitol Ballroom at the Crowne Plaza Hotel
in St. Paul):
