FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Two-Time Champion and Mayo Clinic Experts Headline Health & Fitness Expo

1986 and '89 Marathon Champion Kim Jones to Discuss Adversity

St. Paul, Minn. - September 30, 2014 - Kim Jones, a two-time champion of
the Twin Cities Marathon, will join a group of Mayo Clinic health and
fitness experts as the headliners for the 2014 Medtronic Twin Cities
Marathon Health & Fitness Expo at Saint Paul RiverCentre on October 3 & 4.

The free event features more than 120 exhibitors offering the latest
running and fitness information, advice, and products; the Athlete News
Conference highlighting professional athletes and inspirational "Faces in
the Crowd" participants; plus additional presenters. The expo will also
offer bystander CPR instruction from the Minnesota Resuscitation Consortium
as part of TCM's effort to educate the community about the importance and
ease of bystander CPR.

Jones, who won the Twin Cities Marathon in 1986 and 1989, is the author of
the acclaimed book Dandelion Growing Wild, an autobiography chronicling her
running career, as well as many challenges that she faced on and off the
race course. The subject of Jones' talk at the expo is: Running Through the
Wall of Adversity.

The Mayo Clinic's expert presenters will speak on a wide range of topics
including strength training, injury prevention, and fueling for
performance. Mayo Clinic is a proud sponsor of the Medtronic Twin Cities
Marathon. More than 3,700 physicians, scientists and researchers, and
50,100 allied health staff work at Mayo Clinic, which has campuses in
Rochester, Minn; Jacksonville, Fla; and Scottsdale/Phoenix, Ariz.; and at
community-based providers in more than 70 locations in southern Minnesota,
western Wisconsin and northeast Iowa. Mayo Clinic opens a new sports
medicine facility in Block E of downtown Minneapolis tomorrow.

The Health & Fitness Expo at Saint Paul RiverCentre is an exciting part of
a full weekend of running and fitness activity in Minneapolis and St. Paul
centered on the 33rd running of the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon. Even
non-runners can enjoy the event, which includes free coffee from Caribou
Coffee, chips from Old Dutch, the sale of exclusive Medtronic Twin Cities
Marathon apparel, and a variety of other athletic retailers.

The Health & Fitness Expo opens Friday, October 3 at noon and runs until
8:00 p.m. that evening. On Saturday, October 4, the Expo is open from
10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. A complete listing of expo presenters can be found
here.
