            One week for Costa Rica's Jungleman Run Marathon


The fans of the adventure will live their maximum experience next Saturday, 
December 10th,  when Jungleman Run International Marathon and Half Marathon 
take place in Costa Rica’s Caribbean zone.

The unique 42 kilometer athletic race of the country will go from the 
beautiful coastal community of Puerto Viejo to the Cahuita National Park, 
in the province of Limón.

Only 250 lucky competitors will run on the sand! because this is the limit 
of entrants allowed by the administration of this protected area, in order 
to keep the stability of the ecosystem.

Besides, this 2005’s edition means the definitive international jump of the 
race, organized by the same creators of the world famous mountain bike 
challenge La Ruta de los Conquistadores. 

There will be at least 230 local racers and 20 foreigners from Canada, USA, 
Germany, Panama, Nicaragua, Peru and Ecuador.

Last year winner of the Maratón was the local Gilberto Brenes (3 hours, 17 
minutes and 3 seconds) and Gerardo Guerrero won the Half Marathon (1h 26m 
12s).

The women’s 42 K. race was conquered by Ligia Madrigal (4h 40m 11s) and 
Eugenia Allen did it on the 21 K. (1h 42m 24s).
