                    3 Bridges Marathon Expands Field

After filling three days in May, the3 Bridges Marathon, to be held December 
28, 2013, in Little Rock, Arkansas andthe self-proclaimed, "fastest 
inaugural sell-out in marathon history" will be expanding the field, and 
reopen to the public on September 10, 2013, at 6:00 a.m.

Jacob Wells, co-race director stated, "Our decision to increase the field 
of participants was not taken lightly. It was based on the tremendous 
support that we have received both from our local community and runners 
nationwide. The factors were the outpouring of volunteer support, 
identification and availability of resources (including parking and 
transportation), analysis of the logistics of our start/finish line area, 
study and running of the course, enthusiasm and assistance we have received 
from all governmental jurisdictions and private foundations involved, 
and our desire to make the race available to more participants and more fun 
for everyone." 

"We also know this will bring more runners from outside the state of 
Arkansas. This decision is our way to celebrate and show off to you our 
Arkansas River Trail system and its three magnificent bridges, the Big Dam 
Bridge, the Two Rivers Bridge, and the Clinton Presidential Bridge."
