2020 Atlantic City Marathon Race Series
After significant consideration of the state guidelines, talks with members
of our community and city officials, and review of our course, the Atlantic
City Marathon Race Series has made the difficult decision to cancel the in
- person versions of our races for the remainder of 2020.
For the health and safety of all race participants, this year's events will
take place remotely.
This decision was not made lightly, in particular for the historic Atlantic
City Marathon, the third oldest continuing marathon in the United States.
As an organization, we will work to create a virtual experience for race
participants in all distances with a hope that this year's race plays a
role in continuing the legacy of the Atlantic City Marathon.
Registration will remain open until September 1, 2020 for those that want
to register to participate virtually.
We look forward to hosting you again in 2021 in Atlantic City, NJ.
Virtual Race Dates: October 17 & 18, 2020
Virtual Race Weekend Events
10K & 5K
Saturday, October 17
Start Time: 9am
AmeriHealth New Jersey Atlantic City Marathon & Half Marathon
Sunday, October 18
Start Time: 8am
- Virtual Expo: Runners will be sent a virtual expo email to shop and
engage with sponsors and vendors one week prior to the race weekend.
- Event Instagram Live Events: Ask the race committee questions about the
event weekend, app features and more!
- All runners will receive a gender specific, long - sleeve shirt and
finisher medal. Marathon & Half Marathon Runners will also receive a custom
(MASK/BUFF). Items will be shipped to your address on file at no cost to
you on or before October 10.
- Challenge runners will receive a gender specific, short - sleeve
Challenge shirt and medal.
- Printable race bibs for each race distance.

More Than Just Virtual
Both the 2020 Bungalow Beach Boardwalk 5 Miler presented by AmeriHealth New
Jersey and the AmeriHealth New Jersey Atlantic City Marathon, Half
Marathon, 10K & 5K participants will participate remotely using the RaceJoy
app.
All races will take place in real time on the schedule event date and time.
Participant & Spectators Receive:
- GPS phone tracking of up to 50 participants
- Audio progress alerts including pace, elapsed time, and estimated finish
time.
- Remote spectator cheering: Send a cheer to participants at any time
during the race!
- Real time virtual results.
- Printable race bibs for each race distance.
- Option to have progress posted real-time to your Facebook and Twitter
walls.
