                     B.A.A. Announces Coaching Updates

Mark Carroll Elevated to Director of Athletic Programs & B.A.A. Head Coach

Sarah Dupre-Healy & Scott Cody Jions As B.A.A. Running Club Coaches

BOSTON - The Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) has announced multiple
coaching updates for the B.A.A. High Performance Team and B.A.A. Running
Club.

Mark Carroll has been elevated to Director of Athletic Programs in addition
to his ongoing role as Head Coach of the B.A.A.'s High Performance Team and
Racing Team. Carroll has served as head coach since 2019, and guided four
athletes to Olympic Trials performances on the track in 2021. Carroll will
continue to be assisted by Morgan Uceny, who serves as both assistant coach
and strength & conditioning coach.

Sarah Dupré-Healy and Scott Cody have joined as B.A.A. Running Club
coaches. The pair will guide the more than 200 members who are part of the
B.A.A. Running Club.

For more than a century, the B.A.A. Running Club has been a prominent and
competitive club at the local, regional, and national level. Based in
Boston, the B.A.A. Running Club features athletes of various ages and
abilities striving to race their best in road races, on the track, and in
cross country.

A former B.A.A. club member, Dupré-Healy competed at the international
level for Canada and was a four-time NCAA Division I All-American at
Providence College. She was the 2000 B.A.A. Mayor's Cup Cross Country
Champion, and has since become a USATF Level 1 Coach.

"As an athlete who has run for the B.A.A. in the past, I appreciate being
part of such a renowned organization, one that values excellence in running
along with a commitment to health, fitness and the community," said
Dupré-Healy. "I am excited for the opportunity to be part of such a strong
B.A.A. coaching team, along with contributing to the development of other
athletes within the club."

Cody, also a Providence College graduate, has more than 25 years of
coaching experience at Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School and Cambridge
Running Club. Cody has designed training plans for athletes from the high
school to post-collegiate level, and also serves as a physical education
and health teacher.

"I am very excited to join the staff at the B.A.A." said Cody. "Having been
a part of the Boston area running scene since I was a boy, I know very well
what the B.A.A. has long meant to running here. It is an honor to get the
opportunity to be part of the coaching staff. I look forward to meeting
everyone and doing my part in helping to maintain the B.A.A.'s status as
the leader of running and racing in New England."

In addition to coaching changes, B.A.A. High Performance Team member Erika
Kemp has joined the B.A.A. staff in a part-time capacity as Athletic
Coordinator. Kemp will assist B.A.A. coaches and staff in the promotion and
coordination of B.A.A. running initiatives. In 2021 Kemp won the USA Road
Racing series title and ran personal bests from 1500m to 25K. Kemp served
as co-anchor of Boston Marathon Live during race week last October, and has
continued to lead as host of the virtual Boston Marathon Training Clinic
Series presented by Amazon.

"I have had the privilege of being a member of the B.A.A. High Performance
team for the past three years, and could not be more excited for the future
of the club right now," said Kemp. "I look forward to being part of the
club's growth, using my passion and interest in design and media in this
position."

The B.A.A. is sponsored by adidas, which provides comprehensive support for
the organization's High Performance team, running club, and
mass-participatory events.
