More than 1,800 runners participated in the full and half marathons and 9k.
In addition to being a celebration of runners and their sport, the festival
brought lots of excitement to Dewey Beach and the surrounding areas.
Furthermore, the Festival was also a fundraiser for several local
organizations. To date, more than $30,000 in gifts has been made.

One of the Coastal Delaware Running Festival's recipients was the Delaware
Seashore Preservation Foundation (DSPF), a Friends Group supporting
Delaware State Parks. The DSPF is a non-profit organization that was
created to preserve, protect and enhance the Indian River Life Saving
Station, and the Parks within the Delaware Seashore State Park Region
including the Indian River Marina, Delaware Seashore, Fenwick Island and
Holts Landing State Parks whose most recent undertaking is the restoration
of WWII Fire Control Tower #3 with The Fort Miles Historical Association.
In June, a gift of $15,000 to Delaware Seashore Preservation Foundation's
General Fund and a gift of $5,000 to Delaware Seashore Preservation
Foundation's Tower 3 Project were made.

the community. Not too bad for the first year! We were grateful to the
many runners, sponsors, especially Harvey Hanna Associates, owners of the
Dewey Beach Hyatt Place & Lighthouse Cove, Peninsula Oil, the Towns of
Dewey Beach, Rehoboth Beach, and Lewes, Deldot, Sussex EMS, RACES Radio
Club, Delaware State Parks, and many volunteers to help make these
