MetroPCS Dallas Marathon Announces Course Entertainment for
2014 Live 80 to Play Miller Lite Post-Race Party
DALLAS (Dec. 10, 2014) - Organizers for the 2014 MetroPCS Dallas Marathon,
Half Marathon and Behringer Relay announced a course entertainment lineup
for the Dec. 14 event that includes live bands and performers, neighborhood
block parties and dedicated cheer zones, and the Miller Lite Post-Race
Party headlined by popular 1980s cover band Live 80. Performances kick off
at 8 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, and will last throughout the day.
"Music and live entertainment create a fun, memorable atmosphere for
participants and spectators along the course," said Patrick Byerly,
president of the Dallas Marathon. "We want spectators to join in the
excitement and help create a running party along our course this Sunday."
New to the course entertainment for 2014 are the Texas Rangers Mile, a
stretch along Lemmon Avenue in Uptown with food trucks and DJ'd music, and
the Dallas Mavericks Mile along Lower Greenville featuring the Mavs ManiAAC
dancers, the Dallas Mavericks Drumline, music and more.
Live 80, Dallas' popular 1980s cover band, will perform at the Miller Lite
Post-Race Party in downtown Dallas, in the area bordered by Wood and Market
Streets. The Post-Race Party area, open to the public beginning at 9 a.m.,
will have food and beer available for purchase.

Beginning Saturday evening and continuing through sunrise on race morning,
spectators will enjoy a memorable marathon-themed light show from Reunion
Tower.
The MetroPCS Dallas Marathon, Half Marathon and Behringer Relay are Sunday,
