Press Release - The Denver Marathon - 1/30/09

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Denver Marathon Opens Online Registration January 30th
Special race savings on 2009 event through February 1st

DENVER, Colo. – January 30, 2009 – The Denver MarathonTM, the largest
marathon in Colorado, today announced online registration is open for the
2009 event. The fourth annual Denver Marathon is scheduled for Sunday,
October 18 in the Mile High City.

Participants can register online at www.denvermarathon.com for one of
several Denver Marathon events including the full marathon, half-marathon,
and the four-person ING Marathon Relay. By entering the promo code RUN09
today through February 1, participants can save $15 and get a jump-start on
training for the world-class event. In 2009, the field limit will be capped
at 12,000 total participants.

"The City of Denver is an outstanding destination to run a marathon, and we
are excited to offer runners a flat, scenic course and one of the most
entertaining post-race parties in the Rockies," said Anton Villatoro,
General Manager of the Denver Marathon. "The course travels through some of
Denver's beautiful urban parks as well as travels major landmarks such as
Coors Field, Union Station and the internationally recognized Denver Art
Museum; all set to the backdrop of the breathtaking mountains that give
Colorado its gorgeous panoramas."

Named "Best Marathon" in 2007 by Colorado Runner and one of 10 "Marathons
You Should Do in 2008" by Runner's World, the marathon highlights the
cultural diversity of Denver's communities by incorporating a mix of urban
neighborhoods, shopping and restaurant districts, city parks and
residential areas in its marathon, half marathon and relay courses. The
racecourse will again start in front of the State Capitol, and travel past
many of Denver's major landmarks including Larimer Square, the Pepsi Center
and the Denver Public Library. The Denver Marathon course has little to no
elevation change and is certified by USA Track & Field as a qualifier for
the Boston Marathon.
