Press Release - Edinburgh Marathon - 5/17/10

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Citylink Keeps Edinburgh Marathon Festival On Track

Edinburgh Marathon has teamed up with new transport sponsor Citylink to
keep Scotland's largest mass participation running event on track later
this month.

The Edinburgh Marathon Festival is on course to break its previous record
of entrants and Citylink, will play a pivotal role in assisting runners as
well as spectators travelling around Scotland's capital on Sunday 23 May.

More than 23,500 club runners and fun runners alike have entered the
Edinburgh Marathon, Scottish Half Marathon and Hairy Haggis Team Relay and
Citylink will be a crucial part in the smooth running of the UK's fastest
growing marathon.

Not only are hugely reduced fares being offered to Scottish-based runners
and supporters, but Citylink's partner Megabus is getting ready to ride to
the rescue of any entrants travelling to Scotland whose plans are disrupted
by the volcanic ash clouds that are causing chaos for air travellers.

Antonia Flockhart, Sponsorship Manager for Edinburgh Marathon said, "We are
delighted that Scotland's leading coach company, Citylink have come on
board this year. Transport is a major element in the planning of any large
scale event and with the Edinburgh Marathon Festival growing year on year
our demands for an effective and reliable transport system have also
increased, in order to provide a successful event for all of our
participants."

She added, "We are very grateful to Citylink for the use of their buses
over the Marathon Festival weekend as well as providing special offers for
participants and supporters getting to and from the event."

"It is a measure of the flexibility and comprehensive nature of their
network that they have been able to respond so readily to what might
otherwise have been something of a crisis given the havoc which has been
wreaked with flight schedules in recent weeks."

Aiden Proctor, commercial manager for Citylink, said, "The Edinburgh
Marathon is undoubtedly one of the city's highlights of the year. Thousands
of runners and spectators will flock to the capital for the weekend to
enjoy the marathon and we want to ensure everyone is in the city in plenty
of time to enjoy the spectacle.

"We will run additional early buses with discounted tickets on the Sunday
morning to handle increased passenger numbers and this offer is available
through our website.

"We wish all those taking part in the marathon the best of luck and are
confident it will be a fantastic day for both runners and spectators."

Citylink is offering a special promotional fare to participants and
supporters of the Edinburgh Marathon, with a return fare costing just £5.00
providing exceptional value for money. Please visit www.citylink.co.uk to
plan your journey and enter the word 'marathon' in the promotional code box
to get your special reduced fare.

Travellers outside of Scotland can book competitively priced standard fares
through the Megabus website: www.megabus.com/uk/
