     A GREAT NEW TRADITION; THE INAUGURAL FOX VALLEY MARATHON

Race organizers are proud to announce the Inaugural Fox Valley Marathon, 
Half Marathon and Fall Final 20 Runs on September 19 in what promises to be 
the beginning one of the premier fall running events in the western suburbs 
of Chicago.

The Fox Valley Marathon is an ideal marathon for both veterans looking for 
a fast course to qualify for the Boston Marathon as well as first time 
marathoners looking for an uncrowded, spectator-friendly race setting. 
With a date specifically chosen to punctuate a long summer's training 
program or augment your training for the Chicago Marathon, the three 
courses wind along flat, tree lined roads and paths overlooking the scenic 
Fox River. Starting and ending in historic downtown St Charles, IL, the 
course winds through picturesque Geneva and Batavia along the Fox River to 
a spectacular finish across the Illinois Street Bridge that can be seen 
from over a mile away. The course offers great, easily accessible viewing 
spots for families and supporters.

Perfect for those who prefer a smaller, less crowded and easy to get to 
marathon participants can train all summer on virtually the entire course. 
This is ideal for veteran marathoners but especially for first time 
marathoners who can get to know the entire course well before the race. 
Organized by runners themselves, the Fox Valley Marathon knows what runners 
need. You'll find frequent aid stations well positioned and well stocked. 
All runners will receive a great technical long sleeve race shirt, goodie 
bag, bag check and post race recovery food. And of course all finishers 
will receive a great, inaugural finishers medal!

The Fox Valley Half Marathon and Fall Final 20 races are perfect for 
runners looking for a shorter race, or for a well supported long training 
run three weeks before the Chicago Marathon. The three races start 
together, so both runners and specators can share in the excitement and 
amenities that the marathon provides.

The Inaugural Fox Valley Marathon, Half Marathon and Fall Final 20 are the 
beginning of a great new tradition. With Chicago closed out the Inaugural 
Fox Valley Marathon is now open for registration but don't wait, the race 
is capped at 1,200 total runners!
