            2007 Harpeth Hills Flying Monkey Marathon 
                    Scheduled for November 18th

At 7am on November 18, 2007, Nashville's Percy Warner Park will host   
one of the most challenging road marathons in the country, The Harpeth 
Hills Flying Monkey Marathon.

Last Autumn, a foolish group of runners inaugurated a new marathon on  
a steely gray and icy morning in November.  Only 96 runners had the  
courage and stamina to brave the hills and make it to the finish line.  
Among the finishers, four clocked times under three hours, an  
unexpected feat for this course.  Flying monkey attacks were rare,  
enthusiasm was abundant and the race a success.  Race reviews spoke to  
its uniqueness and beauty, its difficulty and excellent runner  
support.  Many said that they would return.

So, this November, we will repeat the madness and race the second  
Harpeth Hills Flying Monkey Marathon.  We have expanded the field to  
200 and expect runners to come from all over the country, and perhaps  
beyond.  Runners are expected to represent a diverse set of abilities  
and interests, from some of the fastest in the region to those who  
steadily log marathon after marathon to accumulate a resume of  
hundreds.  For others, this will be their first marathon.
