                  Houston Marathon Committee Selects
  2015 Chevron Houston Marathon, Aramco Houston Half Marathon Participants  
 
               Races Sell-out for Tenth Consecutive Year; 
             Run for a Reason Charity Race Entries Available

HOUSTON - (June 24, 2014) - The Houston Marathon Committee has announced 
the participants selected for the 2015 Chevron Houston Marathon and Aramco 
Houston Half Marathon. For the tenth-consecutive year, the Chevron Houston 
Marathon and Aramco Houston Half Marathon have reached their capacity.   

"Reaching the milestone of our tenth consecutive race day sell out is a 
testament to the passion and support we receive from the entire Houston 
Marathon Committee, our 7,000 volunteers, the greater Houston community, 
and our wonderful sponsors," said Executive Director Wade Morehead. "Our 
running community is second to none, and we are so thankful for the runners 
who choose our race annually as well as those who selected our event to run 
their first race."  

All lottery registrants were notified via email of their registration 
status by June 23. Runners may also verify the result of their registration 
online at ChevronHoustonMarathon.com.

Race-day for the 43rd Chevron Houston Marathon and the 14th Aramco Houston 
Half Marathon is Sunday, January 18. The participant cap for both races is 
25,000; 12,000 in the half marathon and 13,000 in the marathon.

Runners can still enter the 2015 marathon and half marathon races through 
the Chevron Houston Marathon's Run for a Reason charity program. Charity 
entries are limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The Run for a Reason Kickoff Party will be held on Saturday, June 28 when 
the Houston Marathon Committee and its 62 participating Run for a Reason 
official charities will kick-off the training season with its celebration 
from 7:00am to 10:00am on the south side of Memorial Park. Free 
"In-Training" shirts will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

fundraise for local charities and how to find the ideal running club to
