Costa Rica.- The 4th edition of Jungleman International Marathon and Half
Marathon will take place in Costa Rica's South Caribbean next Saturday.

Details for this year's event have just been released by the organization,
which have announced a contingent of more than 250 runners from eight
different countries: United States, Canada, Italy, Panama, Guatemala,
Israel, Ecuador and of course more than 150 locals.

This truly unique adventure race will begin in Playa Negra of Puerto Viejo,
200 kilometres south-east from Costa Rica's capital city, San José.

Puerto Viejo is one of the most beautiful Caribbean sceneries of the
country, a warm coastal town surrounded by green mountains and jungles.

Runners will have to face the challenge of racing on the sand for at least
one half of the course either for Marathon or Half Marathon.

The second part of the race will cross the Cahuita National Park's jungle
trail, which travels by the Caribbean Sea for almost 10 kilometres. Palms,
trees, monkeys, birds, frogs and nice ocean's views are very common in this
place.

Categories for this 2007's Jungleman will be the same for Marathon or Half
Marathon: Open Men and Women; Master A Men and Women; Master B Men and
Women.

No foreigner racers have ever won this event. Nevertheless, with an
increased field of non-locals taking part of this year's challenge the
history could change.

Last year's winner, local Javier Montero, will be defending his title as he
has just registered one week ago. "I know it will be harder than last time
because of more foreigners coming and a few recognized Costa Rican
athletes. However, I'll try to improve my performance, my time and see if I
can win again in addition", Montero said to local media.

Full results, pictures, Media photos, interviews and comments will be
published early next week at www.junglemanrun.com
