The 20th Lake Tahoe Marathon, which is run between 6200 and 7000',  
concluded with some impressive results this past weekend.

Ryan Neely from Walnut Creek, CA won the Sunday Lake Tahoe Marathon with a 
time of 2:45:21 on the new course that started in Homewood, CA and finished 
at Lakeside Beach, CA in South Lake Tahoe, CA.

Ryan also won the Tahoe Triple Marathon by winning Friday's Lakeside 
Marathon in 2:47:27 and Saturday's Cal Neva Marathon in 2:44:46 for a 3 day 
total time of: 8:17:34. The World Record time of 8:11:08 was set back in 
2006.

Also remarkable, Kimberly O'Donnell, Ryan's  fiancee's  performance in 
setting a new record for the Female Tahoe Triple by winning the Friday 
Lakeside Marathon in 3:10:35 and winning the Saturday Cal Neva Marathon in 
3:10:25 and finishing second in Sunday's Lake Tahoe Marathon in 3:13:19 for 
a total Triple Marathon record time of 9:34:19, breaking the old record 
time of Laura Bleakley set back in 2005

Two time men's champion Charlie Johnston from Reno finished 3rd this year 
and Thaddeus Reichley from San Anselmo, Ca finish 2nd for the second year 
in a row.

Kristin Walstad from Truckee, CA won the Sunday Lake Tahoe Marathon in an 
impressive 3:10:05.

Rob Carter is the first person ever to complete the Quadzilla Dare. Running 
4 laps around 72.2 Mile Lake Tahoe in 4 days. 

Eric Johnson from Coon Rapids, MN won the Tahoe Midnight Express 72 Mile 
Ultra in 14 hours, 9 minutes, 5 seconds.

Emily Leahy won the Half Marathon on Sunday in 1:39:12 on the new Emerald 
Bay Half Marathon course.

Followed by Tara Theilemann, 1:40:57 from Reno and then Melissa Bickford, 
1:41:11 from San Francisco.
Brian Solomon from Reno won the Men's race in a quick 1:20:52 beating 
second place Nic Spatt  1:29:36 from Scottsdale, AZ

The new Tahoe 10K ran partially through the lakeside fairways of the 
Edgewood Golf Course and onto  Rabe Meadows and returned with Amy Laub from 
Los Gatos winning the women in 54:24 and Mike Kerk  from SLT finishing in 
42:27.

Full on Rhino (Jo Meacham, Karl Stark, Dave Clark, Barbara Morrow) from 
Reno won the new 4-person Marathon Relay. 

The 2016 Lake Tahoe Marathon Events will be Oct 7-9.
