Bart Yasso to Run Mad Marathon 2014, Waitsfield, VT
The 4th Annual Mad Marathon, Waitsfield, Vermont, Sunday, July 6 will host
Bart Yasso, veteran marathoner and Ironman who plans run the course
snapping photos for all of his followers.
Yasso has been with Runner's World since 1987 where he developed the
magazine's sponsorship program for more than 7,000 races around the world
each year. He invented a training method called the Yasso 800s that
predicts someone's marathon time according to how long it takes them to run
800 meters. As the author of My Life On the Run: The Wit, Wisdom, and
Insights of a Road Racing Icon he is often referred to as the "Mayor of
Running."
The Mad Marathon, nicknamed the "World's Most Beautiful Marathon," because
of its quintessential covered bridges, barns small town centers, cows and
rolling hills, is a Boston Marathon qualifier. The course often overlooks
the Mad River, thus the name, and offers a full, half, relay and walking
