Marine Corps Marathon to Offer Guaranteed Entries
               to Miami Tropical Marathon Participants

QUANTICO, VA (Jan. 13, 2004) - Representatives from the Marine Corps
Marathon (MCM) will be offering a limited number of guaranteed entries into
the October 31, 2004 race in Washington D.C. to runners and guests at the
Miami Tropical Marathon Sports and Fitness Expo on Friday, January 30th and
Saturday, January 31st.

The MCM, held in the nation's capital, is recognized as one of the most
difficult marathons to gain entry and has sold out for the last five years.
The event fills its field of 18,000 runners through an online lottery
several months prior to the event. At the Sports and Fitness Expo, the MCM
will offer guaranteed entry forms upon request. The guaranteed entries
allow would-be marathoners to bypass the lottery registration process and
secure their spot in the MCM.

MCM hopefuls should visit the MCM booth, #206, at the Hyatt Regency -
Downtown Miami on Friday, January 30th from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and
Saturday January 31st from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

MCM lottery registration begins on Tuesday, April 1, 2004. Drawings will
begin on Wednesday, May 5 for five consecutive Wednesdays, concluding on
June 2.

The Marine Corps Marathon, also known as "The People's Marathon", is the
seventh largest US marathon and the 13th largest in the world. Beginning
at the Iwo Jima Monument in Arlington, Virginia, the MCM course is
beautifully scenic, guiding runners around the Pentagon, past the Capitol
Building, down the National Mall and by the Lincoln and Jefferson
Memorials. Runner's World Magazine ranks the Marine Corps Marathon among
the 10 Best Beginner Marathons.
