Marine Corps Marathon to Present Final of Five Awards
                       to Alexandria, VA School

QUANTICO, VA (March 9, 2011) - The students at George Mason Elementary
School will receive top honors from the Marine Corps Marathon (MCM) on
March 10, as the MCM presents the Healthy School Award during an assembly
in the school gym at 2601 Cameron Mills Road, Alexandria, VA.

The final of the five Healthy School Awards will be presented to George
Mason for the school's participation in the MCM Healthy Kids Fun Run.
George Mason included 215 students in the event that was held in Arlington,
VA on Oct. 30.

"As a result of the tremendous participation from 747 schools in 2010, the
MCM was able to expand the Healthy School Award program to honor the top
five schools that garnered the most registration," says MCM Director Rick
Nealis.

"Our partner, Sodexo, has also enhanced the Healthy School Award with its
$1,000 contribution to each of the five award-winning schools," Nealis
adds. "And the team from the National Children's Museum has led an
outstanding educational and activity-driven program to accompany each award
assembly."

The National Children's Museum and Sodexo are sponsors of the Healthy Kids
Fun Run. In addition to the monetary award, Sodexo is also providing
healthy snacks to all of the award-winning schools.

To add to the excitement of the George Mason award presentation this week,
U.S. Marines stationed on Marine Corps Base Quantico and MCM mascot Miles
the Bulldog will lead the students in PT exercises.
