THIRD TIME IS LOOKING LIKE A CHARM FOR TOYOTA PRIUS MIAMI TROPICAL MARATHON
2004 RACE RECEIVES AWARDS, 2005 RACE ADDING A TOUCH OF BLUE

MIAMI (August 4, 2004) – As PR Racing, Inc. continues to plan for the 2005
edition of the Toyota Prius Miami Tropical Marathon and Half Marathon, the
good news keeps pouring in. What has become one of the top destination
races in the country continues to progress with additions and accolades.
The event that acted as the catalyst for the South Florida marathon craze
has made strides to mature. This year’s race will expand off of past
success with the addition of a new presenting sponsor, an upgraded race
weekend, and a larger cap on registration. Additionally, the 2004 race
recently received two awards as a top event in the City of Miami.

As a result of two years of dedicated work by PR Racing, the 2004 marathon
was named Downtown Miami’s Best Outdoor Event and for the second year in a
row, Downtown Miami’s Best Sports Event. “We are extremely proud to be
recognized as a marquis event in the City of Miami and we take pride in
supporting Downtown Miami in the future,” Course Director Frankie Ruiz
said. The awards were presented by DowntownMiami.com and the Downtown Miami
Partnership.

The race that is already known for its stunning views and scenic run along
stretches of Biscayne Bay and Miami Beach has added some more blue to the
race with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida as the sponsor of the
Health and Fitness Expo and the Official Training Program. The Blue Cross
and Blue Shield of Florida Training Program begins on Sept. 12 and allows
runners of all levels to be coached in a 20-week program for the full and
half marathon. An informational orientation session is tentatively
scheduled for mid-August on the steps of American Airlines Arena for anyone
seeking information and interested in meeting the coaches.

Additionally, the all new Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida Health and
Fitness Expo will increase in size by more than 30 exhibitor booths
presenting the newest products in the health and fitness industries. The
two-day expo will be held at the Riverfront Ballroom at the Miami
Convention Center, adjacent to the Hyatt Regency on Jan. 28-29, 2005. Space
is still available for vendors/exhibitors interested in displaying and
showcasing their products at the 2005 expo and can contact the marathon at
(305) 278-8668 for more information.

With the added support of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida, the Toyota
Prius Miami Tropical Marathon will be able to provide runners with an
improved race weekend. “This race is really starting to develop into what
we dreamed of, which is a tribute to the sponsors, municipalities, and
everyone else who has supported the race,” Race Director Robert Pozo said.

Because of the increased popularity for the race, the January 30, 2005 race
will be limited to 15,000 runners, about three times the runners who
participated in the 2002 inaugural race. For more information regarding the
Toyota Prius Miami Tropical Marathon and Half Marathon, go to
