New Years Double Partners with Cinemark Theatres
for a Running Movie Screening
Allen, Texas – The New Years Double is happy to announce the addition of a
special event to an already awesome weekend of events for its participants!
Race participants will have the opportunity to enjoy a free screening of
the movie Spirit of the Marathon on New Year's Eve. Through the telling of
six stories of runners preparing for and facing the marathon, it becomes
more than a sports movie; Spirit of the Marathon is an inspirational
journey of perseverance and personal triumph that both runners and
non-runners can embrace.
Cinemark Theatres is a proud sponsor of the New Years Double and committed
to supporting a healthy lifestyle in its employees and the community. As
part of that commitment, Cinemark will play Spirit of the Marathon on
December 31st at 4 pm in one theater at its Cinemark Allen 16, located at
Watters Dr and State Highway 121 in Allen, Texas.
This promises to add another fun element to the weekend as many
participants, both local and from out of town, take on the challenge of a
race New Year's Eve morning, followed by a race New Year's Day morning.
It's a chance for runners to celebrate the active lifestyle together and
get inspired for the run ahead of them the next day!
Details on how participants can grab up the seat tickets while they last
are available on the race website. Cinemark is additionally supporting the
New Years Double event by offering its Cinemark Allen 16 theater as the
location for packet pickup Thursday, December 29th, and Friday, December
30th.
About the New Years Double:
The New Years Double is a full weekend of run events. Two days of races,
from 5K up to a marathon, at beautiful Celebration Park in Allen. This
event will be Collin County's very first marathon. And by offering
back-to-back days of marathons and half marathons, this puts Allen on the
national radar for the distance running community. For the second year,
the 501(c)(3) Allen Parks Foundation is the primary beneficiary of the
event. Each day's race is expected to draw over 1,000 participants and
several hundred spectators and volunteers. In addition to Cinemark
