FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Bowling for Soup to Bring the Party at Rock 'n' Roll Mardi Gras

17,000 Runners to Rock at Headline Concert,
Race to Benefit American Cancer Society

New Orleans, LA - January 18, 2011-As 17,000 runners and walkers cross the
finish line at the Rock 'n' Roll Mardi Gras Marathon & ½ Marathon
benefiting the American Cancer Society on Sunday, February 13th, the party
will just be getting started. Participants and spectators will then be
invited to relax and enjoy the sounds of headline act Bowling for Soup at
the finish line festival and post-race concert.

Formed by lead singer Jaret Reddick in 1994, Bowling for Soup has stood the
test of time, recently debuting their 10th studio album, Sorry for
Partyin'. The Denton, Texas based band is best known for hits like 2006's
"High School Never Ends" and the 2004 MTV and radio smash "1985." After a
two-year break, the Bowling for Soup says they still refuse to take
themselves too seriously. Their new album reflects their focus on fun, with
singles like "Hooray for Beer."

"The creation of this album literally felt like more of a party than work,
and I think that shows up throughout the record," said Reddick. "People are
going to hear this and think, 'Okay well it sounds like they had a little
bit of fun.'"

Sorry for Partyin' features some of the funniest, catchiest songs of BFS'
15-year career while also focusing on their strongest, most confident
songwriting, proving once again that they are masters of their unique
musical niche.

"Bowling for Soup's infectious, fun attitude perfectly matches a big goal
of ours, which is to entertain and show our runners a good time," said
Malain McCormick, Event Director. "Mardi Gras is all about a great party
and our post-race concert will certainly fit the bill."

The 2nd annual Rock 'n' Roll Mardi Gras Marathon & ½ Marathon benefiting
the American Cancer Society will feature a new course and the addition of a
2-person half marathon relay. Cheerleaders and live, local bands will line
nearly every mile of the course, keeping runners rocking the entire way.
The finish line festival and headline concert will take place near the
practice track at City Park.

Race weekend kicks off with a two-day Health & Fitness Expo at the New
Orleans Morial Convention Center, offering runners access to the very best
nutrition, gear and expert tips and interactive clinics. The event is free
and open to the public and takes place Friday and Saturday, February 11th
-12th.

Registration for Rock 'n' Roll Mardi Gras is still open at
