      On The Eve Of The New York City Marathon, Sirius XM To Broadcast 
                      "Doctor Radio Reports: Running"
					  
·Experts offer tips and advice for everyone from first time runners to 
elite athletes on live, call-in show

·How to prevent injuries during training, cardiovascular risks and benefits 
of running and more 

For elite athletes and first-time runners alike, is running a marathon 
safe? How can you avoid injury during training?  What are the 
cardiovascular risks and benefits of running?  As the ING New York City 
Marathon draws near, SIRIUS XM will broadcast Doctor Radio Reports: 
Running, a live, one-hour call-in show hosted by veteran journalist Perri 
Peltz on which she and experts including a leading cardiologist (and former 
marathon runner) from NYU Langone Medical Center, a orthopaedist/medical 
director for marathon teams known as the "Running Doc," and a dietician who 
specializes in peak performance nutrition will take calls from listeners 
across the country and explore the health risks and benefits of running.  

Doctor Radio Reports: Running will air live November 5 from 10:00 – 11:00 
am ET on Doctor Radio, SIRIUS channel 114/XM channel 119. It will replay 
November 5 at 6:00 pm ET and November 7 at 8:00 pm ET. Peltz will be joined 
on the show by: 

·Stephen A. Siegel, MD-cardiologist, Clinical Assistant Professor, NYU 
Langone Medical Center, Department of Medicine (Cardiology); former 
marathon runner 

·Lewis G. Maharam, MD, FACSM aka the "Running Doc"- medical director of 
Competitor Group's Rock 'n' Roll Marathon series throughout the country and 
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team in Training program. He also serves 
as Chairman of the Board of Governors, International Marathon Medical 
Directors Association. Dr. Maharam is former medical director of the New 
York Road Runners and ING New York City Marathon.

·Andrea Chernus, MS, RD, CDE- registered dietician, nutritionist, and 
co-author of the book Nutrient Timing for Peak Performance
