Surf City Marathon Announces Partnership with Kona Brewing Company
Hawaii's favorite craft brewery to celebrate the Aloha Spirit
with more than 17,000 runners at the Finish Line in February
Huntington Beach, Calif. - January 23, 2020 - Get ready to lace up your
running shoes, Orange County, and don't forget your sunscreen, because Kona
Brewing Company will be waiting for you at the finish line. The Surf City
Marathon announced today that Kona Brewing Company will bring the Aloha
Spirit to the finish line festival as the Official Beer Partner of the 2020
event, which is set for the weekend of February 1-2, 2020.

said Phyllis Blanchard, Director of Partnerships for the marathon. "This
event is a 24-year Southern California tradition, and Kona will help us

most memorable way."
The Surf City Marathon is a convenient destination event with the expo,
start line and finish line festival all taking place just steps away from
the sand and oceanfront resorts. Race weekend kicks off with an Active
Lifestyle Expo on Friday, February 1 from 1:00 pm - 7:00 pm and Saturday,
February 2 from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the main Huntington Beach Parking
Lot. The interactive expo will showcase vendors featuring the latest in
running gear, nutrition and fitness apparel as runners pick up their race
number and t-shirt.
Returning in 2020, the event weekend will feature two days of running with
a beach mile race on the sand on Saturday, February 1 at 11:00 am. After
the race, runners of legal age will find the perfect reward waiting at the
finish line -- Kona Brewing Co.'s top-selling Big Wave Golden Ale.
Race day begins on Sunday at 6:30am with the marathon, half-marathon and
5k. Runners enjoy one of the most scenic courses in the United States with
spectacular views along the route. Event weekend concludes with a finish
line festival and Kona beer garden. Each runner will receive one Kona beer
to celebrate their achievement before the big game on Sunday afternoon.
