The Toronto Marathon Announces New Course

Toronto, ON, April 18, 2007 – The Toronto Marathon is excited to unveil a
new course. This is the first major race route change since the event's
inception in 1995. Race day is Sunday October 14, 2007.

The course, still starting at Mel Lastman Square and finishing at Queen's
Park, will showcase many scenic and historically significant landmarks and
neighbourhoods including Yonge Street, Forest Hill, Casa Loma, Rosedale,
St. Lawrence Market, the Flatiron Building, Queen's Quay, the Martin
Goodman Trail, High Park, and University Avenue. A course map will be
available to view at www.RunToronto.com on Thursday April 19, 2007.

"You can do it, join in the marathon and run on the street named by
Guinness as 'the longest street in the world'," says John Stanton,
president and founder of the Running Room. "From start to finish the
Toronto Marathon profiles the diverse culture of Canada's largest city.
The course boasts cool temperatures, a negative drop in elevation with very
few turns making this Toronto Marathon a favourite Boston qualifier."

The best carbo dinner around featuring inspiring guest speakers, energetic
on-course entertainment, stunning finishing medals and this new and
improved course are just a few features which will undoubtedly make this an
unforgettable race experience for all local and international participants.

The Toronto Marathon is the largest and oldest marathon in Toronto,
generating $15 million to the local economy each year. Over 10,000
participants from 30 + counties are expected to participate in the
Marathon, Half Marathon, 5K or Relay on October 14, 2007. Since 1995, the
Toronto Marathon has generated over $5 million for its various charitable
partners including the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation, Hemophilia,
Multiple Sclerosis, Toronto Foundation for Student Success, ICA Canada and
the Canadian Athletes Now Fund. This year the event welcomes Diabetes,
Orbis Canada and the Mikey Network to its charitable roster.
