Dick Beardsley Marathon Running Camp Back in 2004 with Two Sessions

If you missed the inaugural Dick Beardsley Marathon Running Camp this past
June, there's good news. Not only will the camp be back in 2004, but there
will be TWO sessions, one in June and one in September.

"Our inaugural camp was unbelievable! It exceeded my expectations and then
some," says Beardsley. "Our coaching staff is fantastic, and their
knowledge of marathoning is impressive. But more importantly, our coaches
are down to earth people who care about you and your running."

Beardsley's camp offers a unique focus: marathoning. Daily seminars and
runs focus on the specifics that runners need to become better marathoners.
Runs include hill training, tempo running, long-distance running, and speed
work. Camp fees cover 12 of 14 meals, beverages, coaching, video analysis,
seminars, a 1-year subscription to Marathon & Beyond magazine, camp
goodies, and much more. Each camper is also paired with one of the coaches
for additional one-on-one help during and after camp. Says first-year
attendee Pat Loebach, "I came to camp to become a better runner and left a
better person."

Beardsley-marathon champion, TV and radio personality, expert fishing
guide, and motivational speaker-will be teaching, training, and running
alongside his camp participants. The same fantastic staff from 2003 will be
back in 2004-Joe Henderson, Rich Benyo, Rhonda Provost, Bill Wenmark, Mike
Dunlap, and Jan Seeley, all of whom will be on site both weeks for runs,
seminars, meals, and endless one-on-one time with camp participants. Camp
director Jan Seeley reports, "we're offering two sessions in 2004 because
so many campers from this year are returning. We want to make sure we have
room for new participants."

Once again, Beardsley's camp will be held on the peaceful and scenic
grounds of Rainbow Resort (www.rainbowresort.com) near Waubun, MN, 4 hours
northwest of the Twin Cities. Staff and runners share modern 3- and
4-bedroom family style vacation lake homes with all the comforts of home.
The only resort on Little Bemidji Lake, Rainbow Resort is located on more
than 400 acres, has miles and miles of private trails, and more than a half
mile of shoreline. In addition to all the great running, camp participants
can enjoy many other activities, including fishing with Dick, swimming,
mountain biking, canoeing, kayaking, disc golf, pontoon rides, trail rides,
volleyball, and more. Side trips to cool places nearby are also on the
schedule.

Beardsley says, "The trails and back roads of Northern Minnesota are just
awesome to run on! Please join me for six of the best days of running you
might ever have!"

Limited to ONLY 30 registrants per session, Beardsley's camp is open to
marathoners aged 18 and older (teen campers are also welcome with a parent
or guardian also registered at camp).
