"Hardly memorable" (about: 2010)

COURSE: 3 ORGANIZATION: 4 FANS: 4 This marathon was a last-minute decision I made because I wanted to fit in another marathon. The parking was great - not many runners were present and I was able to park maybe 25-50 yards from the start. The course was a double loop; I don't really mind that but some runners do. The most memorable thing about the course for me was that the road bowed quite a bit; I don't know if they get a lot of flooding in Sugarland but this was hard on my knees. I kept trying to drift to the middle of the outside lane so my feet could hit the road evenly. Sometimes this was impossible because of the traffic and the cones blocked off the route narrowly. I walked away from this marathon with a sore right knee, which ended my marathon season short. |
