"Great marathon, but need more crowd support" (about: 2014)

I really like the BCS marathon, but this year there were not very many spectators which made it tough. I think it might have to do with the fact that many of the students were already gone for xmas break. maybe you can move it back to the week before like last year?

This race was full of happy people. The volunteers at the Expo and race day were the best! I also loved the parking situation, very easy to get in and out!!

"Overall Best race I have ever run!" (about: 2014)

This race was seriously great! The atmosphere was outstanding. Everything seemed to move along so smoothly. There was very little confusion about when and where everything was taking place. Communication was outstanding. The event staff was all very friendly. The course is mostly flat, but with a good mix of some alternative terrain. I have run the Houston and Austin Marathons, and this one was more enjoyable to me. And we got free socks!

"Spectators are energetic, supportive, & fun!" (about: 2014)

The community really supports the race and spectators line multiple streets. Students from A&M setup cheering sections on campus to encourage runners and be spirited.
Communication in advance of race is exceptional. Always in the know about what is going on and where to be.
Parking is simple, easy, and very close to the starting line.

"Benefits charity, well organized, awesome swag!" (about: 2014)

This race was great! Very well organized and had a very personal feel to it. Loved the huge medal, finishers tech shirt, long sleeve participant shirt and awesome swift wick socks. Snacks along the course was also a nice touch that I haven't experienced before. The best part though is the charity that this race supports.

I felt the energy the moment I got there and it was that way the whole way thru the race. The many people cheering were wonderful. Loved all of the water stations and we loved getting candy!! We got pictures with Santa which was fun too! The end was so grand and beautiful!! Loved all of the food after the race..it was wonderful!

The BCS marathon was my first marathon. I was extremely impressed by how well the race was organized and the support offered along the race course. The race course was also enjoyable, relatively flat and ending by going through the heart of Texas A&M campus.

Expo was small but organized and full of great vendors. Race day was a breeze. Great, convenient parking. Quick walk from the parking lot to the start. Open area for the start, not crowded.

The BCS half/full marathon is one of the highest supported races that help such a great cause. With the race director personally congratulating and giving you a hug at the end. Finishers medals will be cherished forever, they're amazing!

"Best organized marathon I have ever run!" (about: 2014)

I appreciate all of the efforts made by the race organizers of the BCS Marathon. They really go out of their way to make it a special experience for everyone, from the water stops to the food at the end to the amazing medals and finisher's shirts...they even provide a long sleeve tee at the race expo. It's fun, it's less crowded than many other races, the spectators increase year after year...it's the best race in Texas!
