"Barebones Event" (about: 2013)

A nice event in a nice community. Organizers may not be runners...several things missing. Porta potties not at start, no horn or gun at start..just 'ready set go', course signs tough to see on plastic with magic marker arrows, some runners got off course. Half marathon not marked for marathoners. Plastic cups at water stations...bad! No clocks on course. Sparse group of runners and little to no spectators. Waited for awards but they cancelled it after waiting about two hours. I recommend studying how other races are managed and include next year. Everyone was friendly!

"Nice, organized event with great support!" (about: 2013)

This is a very nice marathon:
1. Very organized bib/shirt pickup (same day as race which was a plus).
2. Nice shirt and medal.
3. Very well supported course...many aid stations with 2 GU stations.
4. Friendly volunteers throughout the race.
5. Good course marshalls/traffic control.
6. Lovely neighborhoods.
7. Nice finish and easy start.
8. Volunteers and neighborhoods were very supportive.

I recommend this race. Train for rolling hills throughout.

"said marathon was flat, was comple te opposite" (about: 2013)

6-10 previous marathons
COURSE: 3  ORGANIZATION: 5  FANS: 5

Was disappointed in the misleading advertisement of this run. It said the course was flat but it was nothing but the opposite. Many runners felt mislead be cause some runners were trying to qualify fo Boston and had a slower times due to the very hilly, not flat as posted on the web page course.
