Thank you all for the wonderful race on Oct 3. It was a real pleasure to run in the best race in the USA. Everything was wonderful; course, spectators, superb water stations. The whole thing is a wonderful experience. Being a velocity challenged runner, I loved the crowd support, the enthusiasm of the spectators as well as all the loud and wonderful music made the miles that much easier. Thanks a bunch to the lady who was handing out cut up doughnuts. You saved my butt as I was getting very hungry.

You cannot beat this race. This was my 8th TCM and it just gets better. That finish running down John Ireland, and the huge flag, as well as the whole mass of screaming fans was very emotional. I defy any one to run this course and not like it. Thanks again to everyone concerned. You put on a world class event. And to all the guys and girls from Canada on Terry?s bus, We ROCK. No matter where you are, there are two things that are great in this world: the TCM Marathon and the Grant and Kenaston Running Room.

This was my first TC Marathon. I was overwhelmed by the great crowds of spectators and all of the volunteers! The whole weekend was incredible. Thank you!!

This was my fourth marathon and was, by far, the most memorable in every way. I was worried going in because I had heard complaints about there being an insufficient number of water stations. Turned out to not be a problem. Crowd support was phenominal; I was among the last people to finish and yet I was cheered on as if I were about to set a course record.

And... the course itself is truly beautiful. I have always regarded Minneapolis/St. Paul to be one of the nicest communities in the U.S. This race is yet another reason to love the Twin Cites. Just one issue: the volunteers had run out of medals by the time I had finished. The organizers should have medals for all those who even registered, never mind finished.

"Great Race, But Those Hills....." (about: 2004)

I really enjoyed this race in terms of the beauty of the course, the superb organization, and the great crowd support. However, the hills were much more difficult than advertised.

"Watch out for the hills!" (about: 2004)

The course is beautiful, the fans are great, and the race is very well organized. The course is NOT, however, a 'flat and fast' course to qualify for Boston. If the landscape where you train is pancake flat, I would not recommend this marathon as a qualifying course as the hills are killer!

I really enjoyed the 2004 Twin Cites Marathon. This was my 7th, and after running Chicago the last two years, the lower number of runners was a welcome change! The hills later in the race were challenging, but I ran a PR, and you really can't beat the crowd support, since most of them are on their front lawns! I give kudos to the staff it was a great run, right down to the classy and non-traditional medals.

I've run this marathon several times, and the experience gets better every time. Everything from the expo, to the pre-race dinner to the event itself is first rate with close attention paid to detail. Having the opportunity to spend a few minutes speaking with Dick Beardsley was most meaningful to me. The only thing better would be having Beardsley and Salazar together at one of the pre-race seminars. The community support is second to none and the volunteers are fantastic. I look forward to making my annual journey to the Twin Cities for many years to come. Thank you to the race organizers, the volunteers and all of the gracious spectators for making race weekend a memorable experience for the participants!

I thoroughly enjoyed your cities, the people, the route, the weather. We could not of had anything better! What a beautiful course route. The miles just flew by and the crowds helped the entire way! What a fabulous gathering of spectators - Thank you Twin Cities!

Scenic, energetic, organized, Twin Cities puts on a great show. Great, motivating finish. One downside - beginners beware: the 6-hour finishing time is strictly enforced - the clock and finish are TORN DOWN at 6 hours.
