Second year in a row for me doing this one. Fast becoming my favorite. New course for this year and the course was bone dry due to the heat. Loop course, not many spectators but there are randoms out there. Bread pudding, squash, water, cookies at the check points. The whole point of the race is that it is a challenge so no marshals no directions, it's all down to you and a few pieces of paper that have instructions on them. The navigating forces conversation because you really should work with other runners to get through this. Lots of fun!!

Challenge is the key word with this one. You must rely on your own navigation skills to get through. Great drinks stations with water, squash, bread pudding and a good amount of spectators in the villages. It's mostly trails. No course markings, no course marshals and no police support. This is all as advertised. It's a challenge. You make your way around the course by following written instructions. It really was a lot of fun and I plan to run it again even though I usually don't do a marathon twice.
