D. from Seattle (10/12/2014) "The best marathon" (about: 2014) 50+ previous marathons \| 1 Run The Rock Marathon COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 1 I chose Kodiak for my 350th marathon and it was my best decision ever!It was a true Alaska experience with breathtaking scenery and real Alaska hospitality.The course was not easy but worth every step.This race is a real gem and benefits public radio.It is now one of the top five races that I have ever done.It is highly recommended.The sunrise was magnificent!

(about: 2012) 50+ previous marathons \| 1 Run The Rock Marathon COURSE: 4 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 2 I have completed 128 marathons and the Last Frontier was my 50th state. I can say with all sincerity that I've never encountered nicer people! I will be returning!

(about: 2011) 11-50 previous marathons \| 1 Run The Rock Marathon COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 3 I really enjoyed the race. Great topography, perfect running temperature ( high 30's to low 40's) Beautiful scenery. Wonderful experience.

Very friendly people, and good BBQ. The run was great: ocean, rivers, tundra, mountains, pass, cold!
