You would not have known this was an inaugural race, it is very well organized. There is no mad rush to the starting line that you find and the large events and no crowding. The weather cooperated very nicely, I would recommend some kind of eye protection for the morning sunrise. I am a 50 states runner and I would suggest this one for Kansas. I did not mind the double loop at all because the second time around is a little different.
