Holloman Ace of Races offers four events: Marathon, Half Marathon, 5K and the Kids Dash. The course is nestled between the Sacramento Mountains and the glistening gypsum dunes of White Sands National Park, passing by points of Air Force history along the way. With only 32 to 300 feet of elevation gain, the race provides a uniquely flat course and favorable climate, creating the perfect conditions for your first and/or fastest 26.2, 13.1 or 3.1 miler!

COURSE: 3 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 1

This was a first time (inaugural) for this race. I ran the 26.2 and going out to the turn around was very challenging due to the wind. The race is out in the desert on the airfield. However, the turn around put the wind in our backs and provided the push to the finish. Logistics were great but package pickup on race morning would have been a plus , since I lived 90 miles away in EL PASO. This was my 89th Full Marathon, so I have experiences with this distance.
