COURSE: 3 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 The event brought up the warm small-town welcome to all runners. The event is well organized with many good features. The course was not an easy one with many gentle up and down hills, a couple of U-turn and many left-right turns. Majority of the route were on streets with a good portion of the route on bike paths. At the beginning of the race, the streets were wide enough to make sure the runners could find their pace at the very beginning. The weather was very corporative in 2024 event. A day before, it was raining dogs and cats. It cleared out in time for the race. The gear check located a little far from the start line. The windy cold (high 30 to low 40th) morning made the trip to the start line a little hard. All turning corners in the route were well-guided and well-guarded. We crossed some busy street intersections. There were police on duty in those locations to keep runner's priority. There were plenty of aid stations. Each were well staffed with helpful volunteers. There should have two stations supplied GU for marathon runners. However, the GU might have run out before marathon runners came by. The indoor recovery area at the finish area were very considerable. It was a cold day. The indoor facility provided food, drink, tables and chairs for all to enjoy. The official time could be checked right after crossing finish line. Many residents cheered the runners in front of their home. |
